Payment Methods
The payment forms we accept are Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and PayPal. If for any reason you are not comfortable with online payment please contact our customer service department at 941-758-3552 or email info@marine-surplus.com.
PayPal Buyers
Note: We will be reviewing the address provided to us through your PayPal account. If you would like to have your order shipped to an address other than the one provided by PayPal please provide a correct shipping address when the order is placed.
Standard Shipping
We offer free domestic shipping on all website orders over $49.00, & $5.00 shipping on all orders under $49.00 at Marine Surplus, LLC. All domestic shipping will ship via USPS, UPS, or Freight Carrier. Please allow (3) business days for processing. Our designated shipping days are Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.
For all International orders on any of the products on our website please email us at info@marine-surplus.com or call 941-758-3552. We will work to get you the lowest possible shipping price.
If special services are needed such as guaranteed delivery, expedited services or if you have a unique situation please review our special shipping section.
Marine Surplus is not responsible for incorrect addresses provided to us during the order process. We are not responsible for shipping damages or delays during the shipping process. We will do our best to work with the buyer through the claim process. After an item has shipped from our warehouse, we have no control over the handling process with the shipping company. If your order is late or items arrive damaged it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with the shipping carrier to seek compensation.
Special Shipping
Please Note Before You Order: If you are requesting any special shipping circumstances please contact our customer service department at 941-758-3552 or email info@marine-surplus.com. We will work to get you the best possible pricing on overnight, second day, third day shipping services, as well as International shipping services.
In regards to all expedited/special services the shipment day is not factored into the delivery time. Please note we happily ship overnight if order is placed before 12:00 PM. EST.
We are not responsible for items that do not meet delivery deadlines or guidelines. If a package does not arrive on time YOU must file your own request for reimbursement.
If expedited or special shipping is chosen and the package has to be returned for ANY reason. Shipping fees will not be able to be reimbursed. Only the cost of the part will be refunded, per our refund section of this document.
Shipping Insurance
All items shipped from Marine Surplus, LLC. will include insurance up to the amount of the product purchased.
International Orders
When placing your international order with us, please email us at info@marine-surplus.com. Please include the item SKU #, your telephone number, shipping address and postal code. If we need to contact you we will do so via the email address provided. Please note that all customs, duties, or other fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. In addition to shipping fees there will be a small handling fee charged to the customer to cover our processing fees. International customers are responsible for tracking package delays, reporting missing packages and also claiming undeliverable packages left in customs. Also, we will not alter any international documents to reduce fees as this is considered fraud and is illegal. Please understand once a package leaves our facility we have no control over it’s whereabouts. If you should choose USPS First Class International for your shipping fees, insurance is not included and missing or damaged packages will not be compensated for. In the event an international order needs to be returned for any reason, the receiver is responsible for the shipping fees and any customs fees due, we simply can not pay these fees. This enables us to help so many and continue to offer parts Internationally, when they otherwise would not have access to them.
Florida Sales Tax
Florida sales tax amount of 7% applies to all Florida residents and all orders shipped to Florida addresses.
Product Condition
All items listed on our website are sold “AS IS”. We will do our best to provide you with the most accurate pictures and description for all items listed. If something is not shown in the photo or listed in the description then it is not included. If you have any questions or concerns regarding an item on our website please contact our customer service team at 941-758-3552 or email info@marine-surplus.com.
Marine Surplus, LLC. does not provide any warranty on the items listed. However, in some cases there is a manufacturers warranty on the parts purchased. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to contact the manufacturer for warranty details. The buyer is to assume all liability for items not warrantied.
All items shipped from Marine Surplus, LLC. are in new condition unless otherwise stated in the items description. In many cases items are referred to as NOS (New Old Stock) and may have been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for a number of years. Marine Surplus, LLC. also in many cases will come across items that boat manufacturers have installed on NEW Boats and removed before the boats were completed. Items such as these are still new and if there is any flaw on these items such as “Minor Scratches” they will be shown in photos and clearly stated in the items description. If an item is in USED condition we will state it as such. Please keep in mind the nature of surplus and what that means before purchasing.
Samples
If you are ordering cut products such as Trim, Molding, Vinyl, Fabrics, or Carpet, please be advised that not all computers show colors exactly the same! We will NOT accept returns on any cut products. We would recommend you giving us a call to request a free sample shipped to you at no charge.
Cancelling Orders
Should you need to cancel an order for any reason please contact our customer service team at 941-758-3552 or email info@marine-surplus.com. For all cancelled orders there will be a 5% cancellation fee and if an item has shipped all shipping & handling will be deducted from the refund total. Refunded Orders placed through PayPal may also be subject to PayPal fees being deducted from the final refund total. The final balance of the transaction will be refunded to the buyer.
Refund Policy
Please be sure to double check the items description you are interested in. We work hard to ensure that we have the most detailed description & accurate pictures for each and every listing. If you have any additional questions about an item you are interested in please contact our customer service team at 941-758-3552.
Items that qualify for a return must have been ordered within the last 14 days. Items that qualify must fall under one of the following conditions:
-The product arrived damaged due to poor packaging.
-The product you received was not the product ordered.
-The package was refused by you due to damage in the shipping process
Items that do not qualify for a return are as follows:
-It has been 15 or more days since order received date (This is checked by using the tracking number).
-The color was not what the buyer wanted (See Sample Section)
-The buyer signed for a package that was clearly damaged.
-The buyer installed and used the product.
-The package arrived later than expected.
-The buyer expected parts that were not expressly included in the items listing.
-The order was for a cut good such as carpet, vinyl, trim, molding, etc. (See Sample Section)
If you feel that your item(s) qualify for a return please contact Marine Surplus, LLC. at 941-758-3552 or email info@marine-surplus.com. We would like for you to provide pictures of the item(s) or packaging damage. In addition to that we will require an order number, date purchased, method of payment, & packing slip. We will do our best to resolve your issue promptly.
If our customer service team qualifies your item for return you will be issued an RMA# (Returns Authorization Number). We will provide you with instructions on how to ship your item(s) back. You must acquire an RMA# from Marine Surplus, LLC. before returning any items.
ALL Orders that qualify for a return will be subject to a 15% restock fee unless otherwise waved.
Please Note:
- The RMA# will be good for 10 business days. After the 10 day period, the number will expire and the shipment will be rejected. If the item is being returned due to damage we will have you hold on to the item and assist in the claim process.
- If an item is shipped back with an expired RMA# the package will be refused. In addition if a package is sent back without an approved RMA# it will be rejected.
- Any item returned and originally purchased with PayPal will be refunded less any refund fees and also less any PayPal fees.
Items being returned to Marine Surplus, LLC. may or may not be eligible for a refund or replacement per our refund/replacement policy below.
Refund & Replacement Policy
In the event that the item(s) was damaged during the shipping process we will assist you with the claim process and work quickly to find you a replacement if possible. Our customer service team will help determine whether a refund or replacement is appropriate.
In the case at which the description was in error, we will work to find the correct item for you. If we cannot find a replacement our customer service team will work to refund your purchase and have the item returned to Marine Surplus, LLC.
If the buyer purchased an item in error or no longer wants the item purchased, we will be happy to offer a refund for the value of the purchase less a 15% restocking fee. It will also be the responsibility of the buyer to ship the item(s) back at the buyers expense (See Our Return Policy Above).
